Do I need prior experience to use the workshop?
No prior experience is required to rent the workshop. Users of all skill levels are welcome.
However, machine training is mandatory before operating any power tools or machines. This is required to comply with insurance regulations and to ensure all users meet The Makers Society’s safety standards.
What’s included in workshop rental?
Workshop rental includes a dedicated workbench and access to power tools and machines subject to completed machine training.
Hand tools are not included, as they are considered personal items and require individual care and setup.
Are consumables included?
No. Consumables such as glue, sandpaper, screws, nails, finishes, and similar materials are not included in workshop rental.
These items can be purchased separately at the workshop if needed.
Can I store materials or projects at the workshop?
Yes. Storage is available as a separate service for members and frequent users. Storage options are subject to availability.
How do credits work?
Credits can be used across selected services at The Makers Society, including workshop access and maker support services.

What is the turnaround time for maker support services?
Turnaround time depends on the scope of the request and current workshop workload. Timelines will be confirmed when we provide your quote.
