To ensure your Tessera board remains beautiful and functional for years to come, please follow these care guidelines:
Clean after each use with a soft, damp cloth. Wipe dry immediately.
Avoid soaking the board in water or placing it in the dishwasher, as excess moisture can damage the wood.
Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive pads, which may strip the finish or scratch the surface.
Reapply food-safe mineral oil or board butter regularly (every 2–4 weeks) to keep the wood hydrated and prevent cracking.
Do not expose to direct sunlight or high heat (such as stovetops), which can warp or dry out the wood.
If needed, lightly sand with 400–600 grit sandpaper to remove minor stains, then re-oil.
